Championship round-up: A late goal from substitute Pat Tobin earned Limerick another crack at Tipperary as the sides played out a thrilling 1-19 to 1-19 draw at the Gaelic Grounds this afternoon.
Limerick, without a win in the Munster hurling championship since 2001, were on the back foot early on when skipper Damien Reale was sent to the line having picked up two yellow cards.
But Tipp were unable to make their numerical advantage count on the scoreboard and despite keeping their noses in front for much of the contest were unable to pull away.
Limerick's perseverance was rewarded in the dying minutes when Ollie Moran fed Tobin to fire home from a tight angle.
All-Ireland champions Kilkenny cruised into the Leinster final with a 1-27 to 1-13 win over Offaly O'Moore Park Henry Shefflin was Offaly's tormentor in chief, finishing with a personal tally of 0-12.

In the Ulster football championship, Derry progress to the semi-finals after a six-point 1-13 to 0-10 win over Antrim at Casement Park.
Derry, who brought on Paddy Bradley for the final 10 minutes following the lifting of his ban , opened a commanding lead in the first-half but were pegged back by Antrim and the sides were level on 0-6 apiece at the interval.
However, a Mark Lynch goal restored Derry's advantage and further points from Conleith Gilligan and Enda Muldoon ensured they wouldn't be cauught.
