Limerick 5-11 Waterford 2-15: Andrew O'Shaughnessy fired Limerick into the All-Ireland final with an unerring display against Waterford at Croke Park this afternoon.
O'Shaughnessy finished with a total of 2-7 while Donie Ryan also chipped in with two goals and a couple of points of his own.
Limerick raced out of the blocks, goals from Ryan and O'Shaughnessy helping build a 10 point lead at one stage but Waterford got back in the contest with a Stephen Molumphy strike and trailed by just four at the interval.
Ryan struck again shortly after the break to reapply the pressure on the favourites but Limerick then went through a fallow period and when Eoin McGrath pounced on the loose ball for a second Waterford goal the comeback looked on.
But O'Shaughnessy ensured Limerick would prevail, converting a penalty after full-forward Brian Begley was pulled down before Begley killed off any lingering Waterford hopes with a last-minute goal.
