The members of the Limerick Regeneration Boards, who will oversee the make over of the Moyross and Southill areas of the city, were announced today by the Minister for the Environment John Gormley.
The boards will feature local community and business interests, as well as a local representative form the Garda Síochána.
The boards were formed following a report for the Government by John Fitzgerald into social exclusion, crime and disorder issues in Limerick.
Mr Fitzgerald will chair both boards while Brendan Kenny has been named as the CEO of both agencies.
Former Limerick City Manager Tom Mackey, Ex-Clare County Manager Alec Fleming, Ex-Limerick County Manager Ned Gleeson and Chief Superintendent William Keane will also sit on both boards.
Aine Cremin, Paddy Flannery, and Michael Tiernan make up the Northside board while Fr Pat Hogan, Ann Kavanagh and Liam McElligott will sit on the Southside Agency.
All the Board members will serve until 14 June 2012.
Minister Gormley also said he would include members of the HSE and the Department of Education to the boards as soon as possible.
