An electronic components company in Newmarket Co Cork employing 49 people has gone into liquidation, however it is hoped that the company can be sold as a going concern. it was announced today.

A liquidator has been appointed to Keytech Enclosures, part of the Keytech Electronic Engineering Group, which has another plant in Limerick.

Last week it was announced that two other plants — Keytech Plastics and Keytech Products in Cork and Limerick — had gone into receivership.

There have been no lay-offs at any of the plants, and Keytech will continue to trade for the next fortnight, ahead of the annual summer holiday shutdown.
