Camp Zeist - Wrangling over potentially crucial and highly sensitive CIA documents forced another adjournment to the Lockerbie bombing trial in the Netherlands yesterday.

The impasse came despite striking CIA openness towards the case. The chief prosecutor, Lord Advocate Colin Boyd, told the court the CIA had allowed the parties to see more information than it had ever before revealed to a foreign court.

"It does appear regrettable, but we feel we have little choice," said the presiding judge, Lord Sutherland, in adjourning the trial until today, when he hoped the matter would "finally be dealt with".
