Wasps winger Kenny Logan has been recalled to the Scotland team for Sunday's Six Nations clash with Ireland at Murrayfield.
Coach Ian McGeechan has also decided to continue with Gordon Ross at fly-half in preference to former captain Gregor Townsend.
Ross was inspirational in Scotland's November win over South Africa but Townsend returned to the starting line-up for the final autumn test, against South Africa.
As expected, McGeechan brought in Newcastle's Andy Mower at open-side flanker following the acrimonious loss of Budge Pountney, who retired from international rugby last month after accusing the Scottish Rugby Union of penny-pinching and a lack of professionalism.
Logan's appearance will be his first in a Scotland shirt since last year's Six Nations tournament.
