The lotto jackpot soars to a massive €16 million tomorrow night - the third highest jackpot since the game began 22 years ago.
The pot has been rolling over since March 10th, with €2 million added for St Patrick’s weekend, followed by another €2 million on Easter weekend.
The National Lottery urged punters to play early to be in with a chance.
“Once again, lady luck has proven elusive for Lotto players around Ireland. But this means that there’s lots more fun in store for everyone on Wednesday,” a spokeswoman said.
“It also means that lots more money is being raised for good causes all over Ireland, as designated by government".
“One third of all sales for this jackpot will fund sports, youth, health, culture, heritage and Irish language projects countrywide.”
The biggest Lotto jackpot - €18.9 million euro - was won in 2008 by a syndicate group from Carlow.
The largest so far this year was €7,457,357, won in January by Michelle Ryan, from Athlone, Co Westmeath.
