The Parades Commission in the North has confirmed that the loyalist organisation known as the Ulster Response Group has decided to reroute its planned march in Derry next Saturday away from the Diamond area of the city centre.

The parade, which will be addressed by Spirit of Drumcree leader Mr Joel Patton, will instead be confined to the loyalist Fountain Estate. A spokesperson for the Parades Commission said it would not be imposing any restrictions on the new parade, which is timed to coincide with the annual meeting of the Ulster Unionist Party in Derry on Saturday.
