A new resort hotel in Co Cavan to be operated by Radisson SAS will create 250 jobs.

The hotel on the 1,300-acre Farnham estate will be financed by local businessman Roy McCabe, who will invest €85 million in the project.

The 158-bedroom hotel is being designed as a "retreat to nature" resort - the first of its kind operated by Radisson SAS in Ireland.

The hotel will include Ireland's first 40,000-square-foot "Wellness Centre" and 629 square metres of conference facilities.
