Show jumper Denis Lynch will remain suspended until November 21st. In announcing its decision this morning, the Federation Equestre Internationale tribunal also fined the German-based rider 1,750 Swiss Francs (approximately €1,142) and has ordered him to pay 2,000 Swiss Francs (€1,305) towards the tribunal costs.
Lynch's three-month suspension commenced immediately when the 32-year-old was stopped from competing in the final round of the individual show jumping at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong in August.
A blood sample from the Tipperary-born rider's mount Lantinus, and three other horses, tested positive to the banned substance capsaicin.
