A Macedonian man pleaded not guilty at The Hague tribunal today to charges of responsibility for the murder of ethnic Albanians in a 2001 guerrilla insurgency in Macedonia.
Former senior police officer Johan Tarculovski pleaded not guilty to three counts of violations of the laws or customs of war.
He is charged with murder, wanton destruction and cruel treatment linked to an alleged police attack in August 2001 on civilians in the village of Ljuboten.
