LONDON - The teenage leader of a Triad-based gang sobbed at the Old Bailey yesterday as he was ordered to be detained indefinitely for the "cowardly" machete murder of a 14-year-old schoolboy.

At 15 Nathan Brown - a loner and "a Mummy's boy" - hacked Carl Rickard to death outside his school gates with the 17-inch bladed weapon he kept in his school locker. Carl - known as CJ - was left on all fours, blood pouring from his head, pleading: "Somebody help me - what did I do, what did I do?" CJ was targeted for attack by Brown, who led a gang called the Golden Snakes - which modelled itself on the Chinese Triads.
