Los Angeles - Pop star Madonna, poised to pick up her ninth Number One in the UK charts this weekend, has started an attempt to gain control of the Internet address madonna.com to stop it being used as a pornography website.
The singer, who gave birth to her second child, Rocco, just under a fortnight ago, has asked the UN's World Intellectual Property Organisation to order that the domain name - which until spring last year was used for a pornography website - should be handed over to her.
