The mainstream music industry has launched a week of free music downloads.
The campaign gives web users £5 of free credits to stream or download tracks from online retailers from today.
It's being co-ordinated by Peter Gabriel's digital distribution firm, On Demand Distribution (OD2).
They have convinced labels to offer free access to around 110,000 tracks for the duration of the campaign.
The move is the industry's latest attempt to combat the popularity of free file-sharing offerings.
OD2 chief executive Charles Grimsdale says the campaign will help to raise awareness of the industry's subscription services.
He told the BBC: "Frankly most people don't know that legal sites even exist. We genuinely think we can offer a much higher quality than a pirate site."
