Celtic 8
Stirling 0
Teenage striker Shaun Maloney scored four times as holders Celtic thrashed lowly Stirling Albion 8-0 in the third round of the Scottish League Cup at Parkhead tonight.
Celtic are seven points clear at the top of the Scottish premier league while Stirling are third-from-bottom in the third division and the difference in class was clear from the start.
John Hartson opened the scoring after 22 minutes before the 18-year-old, Malaysian-born Maloney weighed in with two before halftime and two soon after.
