A teenager injured in a road crash in Derry earlier this month has died in hospital, police said today.

A teenager injured in a road crash in Derry earlier this month has died in hospital, police said today.

Ciaran Doherty (17), from the Currynierin area of the city, was the only one of five people travelling in a car which crashed off the Ardmore Road in the early hours of Sunday June 1st to be injured.

The other four were arrested. One has since been bailed pending further inquiries, another released pending a police report, and two released unconditionally.

No other vehicle was involved in the crash.
