A 19-year-old man was killed this morning when his car hit a bridge in Co Monaghan.
The man crashed at Corcaghan shortly before 3.00 a.m.
There were no other vehicles involved.
He was brought to Cavan Regional Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

He was named this evening as Mr Gordon Elliot, from Cavanagarvan, Corcaghan, Monaghan.
Gardaí have also named the man who died in a crash on the road between Freshford and Kilkenny yesterday as Mr Thomas Healy (57) from Newhill, Twomileborris, Thurles, Co Tipperary
