A 19-year-old man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after he was stabbed several times in an attack in Newtownards, Co Down last night.
The man, who was accompanied by a friend, was approached by a gang in a takeaway on Regent Street at around 2 a.m. this morning.
The pair fled but were set upon again in Meeting House Lane where the man was stabbed several times in the body and beaten around the head.
Detectives in Newtownards are appealing for any witnesses to the attack to come forward.
