The man charged in connection with the manslaughter of 11-year-old Robert Holohan in Cork earlier this year has been again remanded in custody to appear in court in two weeks.
Wayne O'Donoghue (20) of Ballyedmond, Midleton, Co Cork, appeared before Mitchelstown District Court this morning. He is charged with the unlawful killing of Robert Holohan on January 4th last.
Today was his sixth appearance in court as a further remand was sought to allow the prosecution time to complete the book of evidence.
The court heard the case involved more than 1,000 witnesses and that 1,300 statements were taken by gardaí.
Judge Michael Pattwell granted the request for a further extension to prepare the book of evidence and remanded the Cork student in continuing custody for two weeks. He is due to reappear on April 14th.
Members of Robert Holohan's family, including his parents, were at the short hearing.
