A man was charged at the Dublin District Court yesterday with the murder of a young man in Dublin at the weekend. Mr Brian Willoughby (21), of Orwell Park, Templeogue, was charged with the murder of Mr Brian Mulvaney (19) at the Watercourse, Templeogue, in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was remanded in custody for a week.
A teenager, also arrested in connection with the attack, was released yesterday. A file on his case is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Mr Mulvaney was found lying unconscious on the road at 2.30 a.m. on Saturday. He had been badly beaten about the head.
