A man was arrested at Dublin airport for allegedly illegally importing more than 26,000 cigarettes, the Revenue Commissioners said today.
A statement said officers from Revenue's Customs Service arrested the man last night for the alleged illegal importation of 26,160 cigarettes after he arrived on a flight from Tenerife.
He appeared before Dublin District Court today and was remanded on bail. He must sign on at Blanchardstown Garda station daily and he will appear in court again on April 4th, the statement said.
