Gardaí have arrested an eighth person in connection with the fatal shooting of a Cork drug dealer last month.
A man in his 20s was arrested last night in Cork by detectives investigating the murder of Eric Cummins (29), who was shot dead in front of his partner and baby son outside his home in Ballincollig on August 13th.
The arrested man is being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. Four people are now in custody in relation to the death.
Another four men were yesterday released without charge, and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
