Man arrested over fatal Dublin stabbing

A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing in the Coolock area of north Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing in the Coolock area of north Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

The victim, who is in his thirties, was brought to Beaumont Hospital this morning after being stabbed in the front garden of a house in Clonshaugh Drive in the Priorswood area shortly after midnight.

The man  arrested in connection with the incident  is being held at Coolock Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Priorswood Church area between 12.30am and 2.00am, or who may have information concerning this incident, to contact them on 01-666 4200 or on the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666 111.
