A man was attacked and beaten in Belfast and then run over by his assailants as they sped from the scene in a car.
The 28-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were walking home from a party in the city shortly before 5am when they were attacked.
A number of people attacked the couple in Euston Street, and as they drove away in a Renault Megane people carrier, ran over the man's legs as he lay injured in the street.
Both the man and woman were taken to hospital with injuries which police said were not thought to be life threatening.
