A man was attacked with a hammer tied up in front of his family during a robbery at his house in Antrim last night.
Two masked men entered the garage of the house at Prospect Park at 8.40pm. The PSNI said the man was hit over the head with a hammer and then pulled into the house, where he was tied up in front of his wife and daughter.
"They ordered his daughter to hand over a sum of cash, jewellery and credit cards and asked for their Pin numbers," a spokeswoman said.
The robbers then fled in the family's silver Toyota Avenis car, which has the registration number SCZ7815.
One of the men was believed to be in his 40s, with the other in his 20s. Both were wearing dark fleeces and gloves.
The householder was treated in hospital for serious eye injuries.
The PSNI has appealed for anyone with information to contact police.
