One man and a woman were last night being questioned at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station in relation to the drugs haul. Another man was released without charge.

Gardai confirmed a file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Superintendent Martin Fitzgerald from Dun Laoghaire Garda Station said the seizure of drugs would significantly affect the supply of cannabis in Dublin and surrounding areas.

"It is quite substantial, 165 kilograms of cannabis resin with the street value it has, undoubtedly it is going to eat into the supply of cannabis in the wider area," Supt Fitzgerald said.
