A man was charged today with conspiring to cause explosions a year ago outside the Laganside courts complex and the vehicle licensing office in Belfast .
David Paul White, a 40 year-old gas engineer, from Jamaica Court in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast, was also charged with making the two improvised explosive devices.
The court heard that White is on bail after being charged with an earlier attempt to bomb the motor tax office at Royston House in October, 2002.
A detective told the Magistrates Court that police believed all three devices were made by the same person.
He was asked by defence solicitor Joe McVeigh about an alleged de-briefing document containing the initials "DW" and said: "It is my understanding that there is a considerable amount of detail in the document which can be linked to Mr White."
The defendand was remanded in custody until May 26 and Mr McVeigh said an application for bail would be made in the High Court.
