A man remains in a critical condition in hospital today after being stabbed in Cavan town in early hours of yesterday morning.
He was one of three Polish men attacked by a gang in the Ardkeane area of Cavan town in what gardai say may have been a random attack.
The man is currently being treated at St James's Hospital in Dublin where his condition is described as critical.
Another man is being treated for less serious injuries in Cavan hospital.
