A man stabbed his girlfriend because he believed she was "doing the dirt" with a Spanish neighbour, an attempted murder trial has heard. Mr Francis O'Reilly has pleaded guilty to causing serious harm to Ms Tracy Pepper but claims he was not trying to kill her.

Mr O'Reilly (29), Jamestown Road, Finglas, Dublin, has pleaded not guilty to her attempted murder on May 3rd, 2000. He has also pleaded not guilty to intimidating her with a knife and threatening her.
