Man dies after Dublin shooting

A man (30) seriously injured following a shooting in Dublin at the weekend has died.

A man (30) seriously injured following a shooting in Dublin at the weekend has died.

Robert Ryle (30), from Ballyfermot, Dublin was pronounced dead this morning at Tallaght General Hospital.

Mr Ryle was targeted in a shooting at Foxdene Park, Clondalkin, on Sunday. He was shot several times in the chest and at least once in the neck in the attack.

Gardaí said he was hit as he got out of a car - in which he had been a passenger - at the driveway of a house. It is understood he had been living in the house but was originally from Ballyfermot.

Mr Ryle is believed to have been an associate of brothers Paul and Kenneth Corbally. The Corballys were killed in a double gangland execution, in west Dublin in June.

Investigating gardaí are renewing their appeal for information and in particular wish to speak with anyone who was in the Balgaddy and Foxdene areas between 7pm and 9pm on October 24th.
