A man was killed early today when a car left the road and fell down steep bank outside the village of Ederney, Co Fermanagh early this morning.
The 36-year-old victim, a front seat passenger, had to be cut free by firemen using hydraulic equipment. The accident happened just outside the village on the Castlederg Road just after 12.30am.
Four women, two of them teenage girls, as well as a second man, the driver, were in the car at the time it hit a tree. One of the women also had to be rescued and needed hospital treatment for leg injuries.
