A Co Meath man drowned after being "shouldered" into the River Liffey near Temple Bar during a scuffle, a jury was told at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court yesterday.
The body of the victim, Mr Barry Grant (20), of Pheasant Run, Clonee, was recovered two days later by gardai.
Mr Robert Woods (26), of Carmelite Cottages, Drogheda, has pleaded not guilty to unlawfully killing Mr Grant on October 22nd, 1998. The trial continues before Judge Dominic Lynch.
