A man (48) from Northern Ireland has been given two suspended prison sentences of three months and fined €1,700 following an "air-rage" incident on a flight from Belfast to the Canary Islands on Saturday.
Michael McCallion, with an address at 94, Dunclug Gardens in Ballymena, had pleaded guilty at Tulla District Court in Co Clare today to assault, being drunk, and engaging in threatening and abusive behaviour.
Judge Joseph Mangan also ordered that a photograph of McCallion and details of
the case be sent to the International Civil Aviation Organisation in Montreal, Canada.
