Man for court over death of young actor

A 21-year-old man was due to appear in court today in Britain charged with the murder of teenage actor Rob Knox.

A 21-year-old man was due to appear in court today in Britain charged with the murder of teenage actor Rob Knox.

Knox was stabbed during a fight outside a pub in Sidcup, Kent, on Saturday morning, that left three of his friends with serious knife wounds.

The 18-year-old had a small part in the forthcoming film Harry Potter And the Half-Blood Princeand had also previously appeared in The Bill.

A man came to the bar armed with two knives and was seen waving one of them around through the window. A scuffle broke out outside just after midnight, and four teenagers as well as Rob were injured.

He and his brother Jamie were reportedly trying to protect each other during the fight.

Their friends Tom Hopkins, 18, and Tarik Ozress, 17, managed to pin the armed man down, wrestling with him for several minutes before police arrived.


Karl Bishop, unemployed, of Sidcup, is set to appear at Bexleyheath Magistrates' Court charged with murder.

He is also charged with wounding five other people.
