An 18-year-old man will appear at a sitting of Tallaght District Court tomorrow charged in connection with a seizure of drugs and arms in Tallaght on Saturday.
A 35-year-old man who was also arrested at the time has been released from
custody and a file has been will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The men were arrested yesterday when officers from the National Drugs Unit seized seven kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of €500,000. Six firearms - two sawn-off shotguns, three rifles and a handgun - as well as ammunition, were found in follow-up operations.
A 50-year-old man from Tallaght who was at Store Street Garda Station in relation to an earlier seizure of €50,000-worth of cocaine has also been released and the gardai say a file a file will also passed to the DPP.
