A Sligo man has been acquitted of raping a woman in his house two days after his 22nd wedding anniversary. A jury in the Central Criminal Court took just 48 minutes to find the 51-year-old man not guilty of raping a 43-year-old woman on July 26th, 1996. The man was discharged.
