An armed raider who robbed a post office and later tied an elderly man up while he robbed his home has been jailed for 10 years by Judge Yvonne Murphy at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Gary Byrne (26), a father of one from Clonard Road, Crumlin, pleaded guilty to robbery at the Perrystown Road Post Office, Walk instown, on June 19th, 1998, and at a house on the Clonard Road on April 13th, 2000.
