A man who stabbed a boy while stealing his bicycle has been jailed for four years by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Barry O'Sullivan (21) also attacked a 14-year-old boy who had been sent home from school after feeling sick in class and robbed him at knifepoint of a small amount of cash.
Sgt Terry Brennan said O'Sullivan had been under Eastern Health Board care since he was 14 and had dropped out of college after developing a heroin addiction.
O'Sullivan, of Clondalkin, Co Dublin, pleaded guilty to robbery, attempted robbery, assault and burglary on various dates in February 1999.
