A man has been remanded on bail after he was charged yesterday in connection with a €20,000 drugs seizure by Customs officers and gardaí in Cork earlier this week.

Roy Cambridge (20), Mangerton Close, The Glen, Cork, was charged with possession and possession for sale or supply of one kilo of cannabis herb at his home on February 6th.

At Cork District Court yesterday, Det Garda Kevin O’Donnell gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution. He told the court that Mr Cambridge made no reply to the two charges after caution.

Garda Insp Pat Meaney said gardaí were not objecting to bail once certain conditions were met and he asked to have Mr Cambridge remanded on bail for a month for the DPP’s directions.
