Detectives are today questioning a man about the discovery of a woman's body in the River Lagan near Belfast.
A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokeswoman said detectives in Lisburn had begun a murder inquiry and that a man in his thirties had been arrested.
Police divers pulled the body out of a stretch of water in Lisburn, Co Antrim, after being called in by security guards who were monitoring CCTV cameras at the city's civic centre.
It is understood they spotted a car pulling up to barriers at the nearby River Lagan before a number of people got out and apparently hoisted the woman's body in.
