Gardaí have detained a man following a stand-off at a garda station in Co Dublin.
The man in his 20s entered Shankill Garda Station armed with what has now been established as a pellet gun shortly before 2 p.m. this afternoon.
A number of Gardaí were in the station at the time and a stand-off is said to have ensued.
The area around the station was cordoned off and a number of garda cars, a garda helicopter and an ambulance were at the scene.

The stand-off ended shortly after 4.30 p.m.
A garda spokesman said: "At no time were members held hostage. No shots were fired and there were no injuries."
