Gardaí have seized 500,000 ecstacy tablets worth an estimated €5 million in a raid in Co Laois.
A 31-year-old man, understood to be from Cork, was arrested when officers from the National Drugs Unit and Cork Regional Drugs Unit made the seizure in Mountrath this afternoon.
Gardaí said the arrest was part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of drugs in Munster.
The man is being held for questioning at Anglesea Garda Station,Cork under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
