Man injured in Dublin shooting

A man was shot and injured in Dublin’s inner city last night.

A man was shot and injured in Dublin’s inner city last night.

The incident happened at a house on West Road, East Wall, Dublin 3 at about 11.40pm.

A man approached a house and fired a number of shots with a handgun at the 19-year-old in the doorway of the house before running off in the direction of Stoney Road. Here, he got into a waiting saloon car.

The gunman was wearing a dark hoody top with a white stripe on the sleeves, a black and white scarf, and was approximately five foot six inches in height with a stocky build.

The injured man was taken to the Mater Hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. There were a number of other adults in the house at the time of the shooting who were not injured.
