ONE OF the men named by Dubai authorities as having been involved in the killing of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh – British-Israeli Melvyn Adam Mildiner – has denied any involvement and insisted his identity was stolen.

“I am obviously angry, upset and scared – any number of things. And I’m looking into what I can do to try to sort things out and clear my name,” he told the London Times.

A photograph of Mr Mildiner issued by the Dubai police on Tuesday did not match pictures that he had posted on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

A Manchester woman, Susan Hodes, was reported as in a panic after the Dubai authorities named her son, Stephen Daniel Hodes, as a suspect. It is assumed his identity details were stolen.
