A man has been found not guilty by a jury on the second day of his trial at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of threatening to kill a health board worker by blowing her head off.

The 64-year-old man, with an address in Rialto, Dublin, was found not guilty of making the threat on December 3rd, 1998, to kill an Eastern Health Board official. He was also found not guilty of threatening another official on September 23rd, 1998, that he would kill her colleague.

The accused man was discharged from the court by Judge Dominic Lynch.
