A painter from Dungannon, Co Tyrone, has been returned for trial on firearms and explosives charges. Bernard Creggan (38), of Woodbourne Crescent, is accused of having in his possession on February 22nd this year two assault rifles, two revolvers, a pistol, a shotgun, 151 rounds of ammunition and two improvised electric detonators.
He was returned for trial in custody when he appeared at Cookstown Magistrates' Court yesterday. When charged, Creggan replied "no". He will stand trial at Belfast Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
