A Dublin man has pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to 13 charges including the rape of two Australian women in their flat in the Rathmines area.

Barry McGee (20), Foxfield Grove, Raheny, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape, two of oral rape, one of anal rape, one of penetrating one of the women's vagina using a knife handle and one of attempted anal rape on a night in May of last year.

He also pleaded guilty to two charges of unlawfully restricting the womens' personal liberty, two of threatening to kill them and two of sexual assault by subjecting the women to degradation of a grave nature.

Mr Justice Paul Carney certified McGee as a sex offender and remanded him in custody until February 21th for sentence.
