A Scottish man alleged to have been the driver of a car involved in a £2 million heroin seizure in Dublin was refused bail yesterday. Mr David Watt (26) was remanded in custody along with Mr John Lynn snr (51), Mr John Lynn jnr (21), and Thomas Waddell (27). All are from Glasgow.

They are charged along with Mr Thomas Mulvey (63), Liverpool, and Mr Mark Kane (29), Clondalkin, Dublin, with possession of heroin for supply at Conygham Road on April 2nd last. All six are also charged with possession of drugs worth more than £10,000, an offence which carries a mandatory 10-year jail sentence.

At Dublin District Court yesterday, Judge William Hamill remanded all six in continuing custody.
