Man released in Derry murder investigation

Police investigating the murder of a Derry man in 2007 released a man last night.

Police investigating the murder of a Derry man in 2007 released a man last night.

Brian McGlynn (28) was in bed in his home in the Fountain Hill area of Derry city in June last year when two masked men shot him dead. His girlfriend (24) was in the room.

A man (30) was released unconditionally by the PSNI last night.

A woman (23) who was arrested in the Shantallow area of Derry yesterday was also released, pending further inquiries.

Another man (46) arrested in Derry yesterday remains in police custody. He was questioned about membership of the INLA.

Mr McGlynn was originally from Strabane, Co Tyrone, and worked as a doorman at a nightclub and a pub in Derry.
