An application at Tralee District Court yesterday by Garda Insp Martin McCarthy for a further remand in custody of Mr Michael O'Brien, of Gallowsfields, Tralee, until February 25th on a murder charge was objected to by his solicitor, Mr Pat Mann.
Mr O'Brien is charged with the murder of James Healy (16), of Shanakill, Tralee, at Monavalley industrial estate on February 22nd last. He denies the charge.
Judge Humphrey Kelleher said he would not deal with the case except to adjourn it to February 25th, remanding the accused in custody to that date.
